Rialta Posted on eBay for One Dollar

I had a bunch of emails, calls and appointments to show the RV, but only one person actually showed up.  I forgot how frustrating it can be to try and sell something on Craiglist.

I went ahead and posted the Rialta on eBay with a starting bid of $1.  This will guarantee that the thing sells and provide some form of accountability for whoever places the high bid.

Here is the link to the eBay auction if you are interested in placing a bid:

Tom – this is probably the single best eBay / Craigslist ad I’ve ever seen. Solid work. I’m not sure if it’ll help or not, but I’ll post this on fb / twitter. Hope you’ll get your asking price.

Thanks Austin! Any extra exposure helps. I spent a lot of time putting the ad together because I want buyers to be comfortable bidding for an RV they have never seen in person, from someone they don’t know.

Tommy, while there will always be another RV you can buy if you ever get the “itch” to travel… there will only be one 1997 Rialta that took you on your 1st epic adventures.

I have just read your entire blog from start to finish and I can assure you that if you sell the RV now, in 10 years you will be searching online for your Rialta in hopes of repurchasing it for a nostalgic adventure.

Find a family member who will let you store it on their property indefintely, buy a “shelterLogic” 12×20 shelter for $300 from BJs (they last for a long time!) and store your beloved Winnebago until you’re ready to use it again.

You don’t NEED the $15k-$20k right now… right? You might want to seriously consider rethinking the sale.
